PureMatter Brand Marketing And Interactive Agency Wins Coveted Awards For Creative Approaches To Advertising And Lead Generation

SAN JOSE, CA – March 14, 2006 – PureMatter, one of Silicon Valley’s most innovative brand strategy and interactive marketing agencies, was honored with an unprecedented 13 awards at the 2006 ADDY Awards. PureMatter was honored with two Golds, four Silvers, and four Bronze as well as three prestigious ADDY Award Trophies – the highest honor bestowed on the top half percent of entrants. Each year, the Bay Area’s top designers, advertising firms and creative agencies compete for recognition in the nation’s only three-tiered, high-profile creative competition, jointly sponsored by the American Advertising Federation (AAF) and its local chapter, AD+ Silicon Valley.

PureMatter’s award-winning work for clients in a variety of industries shows their ability to adapt quickly and hone in on what makes each company’s products and services different, then tell back the story to its audience in a truly creative and compelling way that gets noticed. The unique approach taken on a holiday card for certified public accountant Ireland San Filippo earned a coveted ADDY trophy for its outstanding creativity displayed in a traditionally common messaging vehicle. The new corporate logo for Professional Growth Systems (PGS), an Alaska-based firm specializing in organizational development and process reinvention, also earned an ADDY Trophy. This logo was the only to win an ADDY Trophy in the over 200 entries submitted. Additionally, PureMatter’s self-promotion efforts were also recognized, earning its third ADDY Trophy for its ingenious “Marketing Blueprint Brand Plan” pitch piece for Blach Construction, a Silicon Valley-based contracting and construction management company. In addition to receiving the ADDY, PureMatter was also awarded Blach Construction’s advertising account as a direct result of this piece.

Sponsored by AD+ Silicon Valley, a local chapter of the American Advertising Federation (AAF), the ADDY Awards are the advertising industry’s largest and most representative competition, recognizing creative excellence and the very best advertising worldwide. The ADDY Awards are unique among competitions because it includes three rigorous levels of judging: local, regional and national/international, and annually attract more than 60,000 entries worldwide.

“We are thrilled to recognized by the AAF and our local peers,” said Courtney Smith, chief creative officer and co-founder of PureMatter. “The competition was very strong and to win thirteen awards in light of the all the talented submissions is such a testament to our client’s ability to recognize that creative work, and the risks you take to put it out there, really do cut through all the clutter and get noticed. It’s evident that the entire team here at PureMatter loves what they do, and they’re excellent at doing it.”

Other awards for PureMatter included and addition Gold ADDY Awards for PureMatter’s “Last Minute Office Kit” email campaign (Self-Promotion category), and Magazine Insert Campaign for Almaden Press (Advertising, Self-Promotion category). Silver ADDY Awards included industry icon logos for Ireland San Filippo, LLP (Elements Of Advertising category), the 2005 Annual Report for The Law Foundation Of Silicon Valley (Public Service category), Marchand Technologies website (Interactive Media category) and the ParentsCAN Logo, a non-profit Parent-Child Advocacy Network based in Napa (Elements Of Advertising category). Bronze ADDY Awards were earned for Action Day Primary Plus Direct Mail postcard campaign (Direct Marketing category), Concierge Connection’s gift card carriers (Collateral Material category), the website for The Law Foundation of Silicon Valley (Public Service category) and stationery package Professional Growth Systems (Collateral Material category).

ADDY Trophy, Gold and Silver winners in the local AD+ ADDY competition are eligible to compete at the District level competition against other local winners from San Francisco, Sacramento, Reno, Fresno and Oakland. The District ADDY competition will be held in Reno March 29-April 2, 2006.
