JWT TECHNOLOGY NAMED MIDSIZE AGENCY-OF-THE-YEAR BY
ADVERTISING AGE’S B-TO-B MAGAZINE
Technology division of JWT firmly establishes itself as a force within the
technology brand-marketing sector
Atlanta, GA and San Jose, CA May 2, 2005 On the heels of an extraordinary year
for new business and client campaign success, JWT Technology was named midsize
“Agency of the Year” by B-to-B Magazine, sister publication of Advertising Age, the
advertising/marketing industry’s leading news source. The year was marked by the
addition of new clients Research in Motion (RIM), most noted for its BlackBerry®
wireless device, and Texas Instruments, which moved its business to JWT Technology
in early 2005 after 20 years with The McCann network. Other new business added to
the agency portfolio included Symantec, Zultys Technologies, Riverbed Technologies
and Airspace. The publishers also recognized the agency for their innovative campaigns
for clients CDW, Level 3 Communications and Citrix.
The magazine’s March issue named the top 50 agencies in the US working in the
business-to-business space. JWT Technology was named winner in the best mid-sized
agency category. Those recognized in the large agency category were BBDO New
York, Ogilvy and McCann-Erickson.
“There are so many creative awards you can win these days in the ad industry that their
value has been diminished,” said agency CEO Ridge White. “But this honor is a bit
different since it isn’t about a single ad or campaign, but rather about our performance
for all of our clients for an entire year. When you look at the field of agencies that were
also recognized, like BBDO, McCann and Ogilvy, you begin to put this into perspective.
It’s nice to be seen as being on that level.”
Bob Jeffrey, worldwide CEO of JWT in New York said of the win, “If the first quarter
Texas Instruments win coupled with this recognition is any indication, we can expect
more great things from JWT Technology as the year rolls on.”
