PURPOSE:

Responsible for development, implementation and measurement of corporate marketing programs

to drive understanding and belief in the Company's vision, create preference for its services, and
build equity in the Rainmaker brand in order to promote existing client growth and new client acquisition


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Design and implement imaginative, strategically focused, direct marketing programs to drive lead

generation and attract new clients. This includes multi-touch traditional and electronic direct mail
campaigns with web components that are directed to multiple levels of executives.

Work with vice president of Corporate Marketing to optimize rmkr.com as a more effective marketing
tool, and drive phased implementation of web 2.0 of web site.

Develop print and web-based collateral materials for new products/services and in support of sales
activities.

Develops event calendar and will drive tradeshow participation. Will design and implement a scalable
approach to webinar, newsletter, and blog communications and selling.

Will implement targeted online advertising to attract new clients and brand Rainmaker.

Coordinate and develop written content for the company’s whitepapers, case studies, newsletters,
direct marketing, and sales collateral needs.

Provide development support and services for corporate presentations.

MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITES
 
This position is an individual contributor, manages 5 or 6 people in outside resources (DM agency,

writers, web developers, consultants, research firms etc.) and budgets.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE (minimum requirements)
 

BS/BA in Business or Marketing and a minimum of 7 years of successful marketing experience, with
emphasis on direct and database marketing, in the software, hardware and/or high tech industry.
Experience in lead generation and/or service sales preferred.
 

QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
 
• Excellent track record in establishing innovative marketing programs in a business-to-business
environment.
• Specific experience in multi-faceted traditional and electronic direct marketing programs, using the Web to

brand and promote companies and products, and developing new business leads through online advertising,
direct marketing, and events.
• Familiarity with software and hardware companies and their channel partners.
• Understanding of dynamics of selling/marketing services /products to major corporations.
• Working knowledge of the Customer Relationship Management field.
• Ability to think strategically, as well as to implement at a hands-on level.
• Demonstrated communications and marketing skills, as well as innovation and creativity.
• Strong written communications skills
• Team player who thrives in a fast-paced, changing environment, can manage multiple priorities, and drive

results through cross-functional teams.
• Ability to gain the confidence of sales members, and quickly establish credibility.
• Experience working on both the agency and client side of the business, including direct marketing agencies,

ad agencies and other marketing services.
• Experience in managing outside agencies/consultants and budgets.
• Mature self-starter with “can do” approach and positive attitude. 
• Ability to work independently and take action to achieve goals and objectives.
• Ability to remain focused and productive in an evolving environment.
