Currently, we have a great opportunity in our San Jose, CA headquarters for a seasoned, goal-driven
and effective manager with experience leading a large team of marketing professionals to develop,
implement and manage all marketing processes and programs. This position is expected to be a
major contributor to the development of MarCom programs and execution on all outbound corporate
and platform marketing strategies, making the company visible in the marketplace and supporting
our growth strategy.
In this key senior level role, you will:
• Develop/implement marketing and communication programs that shorten sales cycles and ensure
high visibility and focus of company vision, goals, and offerings
• Direct strategic and effective corporate messaging and positioning deployment
• Collaborate with campaign and initiative business owners to develop marketing communications
plans to support the company’s strategic objectives and revenue goals
• Utilize internal and external resources to executive against marcom plans, and provide quality and
targeted deliverables in the area of creative concepts, designs, collateral, web, interactive, etc.
• Govern the company’s visual brand identity worldwide
• Effectively manage marcom budget, ROI-focused
• Select/manage marketing vendors and agencies
• Ensure corporate marketing efforts are leveraged across sales geographies, channels, and business
functions
• Manage and build a first-class marcom team comprising staff and outside resources
Candidates must possess:
• A BS in a related field (MBA preferred)
• At least 10 years of relevant experience
• 5+ years of relevant marketing leadership/management experience
• Proven marketing experience with technical products, especially relevant technologies such as data
storage systems, computer systems, other IT systems
• The ability to work independently
• An entrepreneurial drive and strong work ethic, with attention to detail
• Strong business & marketing knowledge
• Excellent cross-functional diplomacy, with the ability to work effectively in corporate and global
business unit environments and to establish credibility and relationships
• The demonstrated ability to be accountable for global projects from conception to implementation
• A solid understanding and/or participation in field sales and channel organizations
• Extremely strong written/verbal communication skills, with the ability to represent the company in
public forums
• Excellent interpersonal, relationship management, supervisory, and leadership skills
• The ability to interface with all areas of the organization, including executive, sales, marketing,
finance, and technical teams
• 30% travel required (1 international trip per quarter)
